Well folks, that's a wrap on SoME2! We were truly inspired by the quality of the submissions this year.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Grant released a video announcing the winners earlier this week.
We recognize that not everyone "won" the competition, but again, that was never the point. We wanted to get more people to do something they otherwise wouldn't -- to make the video or write the article they had been putting off on the backburner for years. In this regard, we hope SoME2 gave you the motivational kick you needed.
We can't wait to see what you all come up with next! At the very least, we hope to see you next summer!
Until then, we'll be trying to improve the experience for everyone behind-the-scenes. In particular, we will be working out some kinks in the peer review system with the hope of creating a new tool for next year. This discussion will happen on the #peer-review-chat channel on discord. If you have thoughts and opinions on how to make the experience better for next year, please share them there!
As another note: we will probably be re-naming the discord server to "Server of Math Exposition" and are looking to crowd-source a new logo. This discussion will happen in the #some-logo channel.
Thanks again for taking part in SoME2 and we can't wait to see you all in SoME3!
