Summer of Math Exposition Peer Review Roll out
Small hiccups, but everything seems to be running smoothly
Hey Folks,
We have begun to send out e-mails for the Summer of Math Exposition Peer Review. These e-mails should be coming from 3b1b.some@gmail.com, so please check your spam folder to see if you have gotten one already!
If not, no worries! We are slowly rolling out the links over the course of the next few days. Everyone should receive a link by the end of the day on August 20th. This gives everyone at least 10 days to participate and engage with a bunch of new math content creators from SoME2.
To be clear: if you do not receive an e-mail for the SoME2 Peer Review by August 21st, please contact 3b1b.some@gmail.com!
So far the Peer Rview seems to be running smoothly, but there has already been a rather large hiccup I need to address…
When we deployed the Peer Review this year, we accidentally used the text of the video category for the non-video category as well. This meant that a small group of reviewers received either an incorrectly labeled e-mail or 2 e-mails with essentially the same message, but a very slightly different link (one was to https://some2-nonvideo-peer-review.herokuapp.com, while the other was to https://some2-video-peer-review.herokuapp.com).
We have e-mailed the affected parties, but just to be clear: if you received 2 SoME2 Peer Review e-mails, they are probably for the 2 different reviewing categories (even if the text is no different between the e-mails)!
We apologize for the inconvenience here. If you received a Peer Review e-mail, but are having trouble using the provided link to access the site, please e-mail 3b1b.some@gmail.com and we’ll get you sorted!
Thanks everyone for your patience in participating in the SoME2 peer review. We are slowly rolling out the links precisely so we can tackle bugs like this before it affects too many people.
Only just signed up to be a peer reviewer today - will I still be able to take part or am I too late?
Thanks for all the work that you put in to run an experience like this!
