Hey folks!
We are one week away from the August 15th deadline for the Summer of Math Exposition. Submissions will close on 11:59.59 on the last timezone on Earth, so be sure to wrap things up before then!
Like last year, it looks like there will be a few too many entries to review by hand, so we will be asking the community to help through Peer Review. We will ask that each person who submitted an entry for SoME2 also reviews a handful of other entries so we can get a better grasp on which ones the community favors.
Unlike last year, we will be opening the Peer Review to the general public this year. If you (or someone you know) want to learn a bunch and introduce yourself to a bunch of great math content creators, please fill out this form!
Important note: All people who submitted to the Summer of Math Exposition will automatically receive a Peer Review link. If you submitted in a group, we will send one peer review e-mail to the e-mail address listed in the submission form, but if you would like additional peer review links, please also fill out the form.
As a general timeline of future events:
August 15th: submission deadline
August 17th: start peer review
Sept 1st: end peer review / start manual review
Sept 15th: finish manual review
Sept 23rd: announcement video
Note that there will be a few days of delay between the end of submission and the start of the Peer Review. We’ll provide more details on the Peer Review process on the 17th. Until then, please polish your SoME submissions!
After last year, we are really excited to see what everyone makes this time around!
One week left (and Peer Review information)!
Can't wait to see the floodgates of math explainers open!
Woo Hoo Lets Go!!!
