Hey folks,
In the last e-mail / substack post, I mentioned that there was a week left in the Summer of Math Exposition this year. The deadline has not changed (it’s still August 15th), but what has changed is the link to the Peer Review sign-up form. It can now be found here.
If you want to participate in the Peer Review, please fill out the new form even if you already filled out the last one!
As an important note: this form requires users to sign in with a google account and can only be filled out once per person. If you are unable to fill out the form because of this, please send your name, e-mail, and voting preference (video, non-video, or both) to me at jrs.schloss@gmail.com.
After creating and advertising the last Peer Review sign-up form, we got over 10,000 responses. Initially, we were a little overwhelmed by the support and did out best to plan accordingly. We have since realized that some number of these entries are not valid. For example, please look at the following:
These entries were either from a really well-coordinated group of friends who all picked similar e-mails or someone who decided to bot for the fun of it. We suspect the latter.
We might be able to salvage some of the data from the last Peer Review sign-up form, but we have disabled further entries on it and are instead pointing everyone to the new form. We apologize for the inconvenience, but if you would like to participate in the Peer Review, please enter your details in the new link (again found here).
Thanks and sorry again for the inconvenience!
No problem! I would think someone is creating all the bots to vote for themselves. (Of course, it could also have been solely for fun.) Looking forward to Peer Reviewing!
